They are very fearsome! And fearless!

Two out of three ain't bad - I have yet to see your tree frog though.Wayne Hugheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12344554645677368845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10279728.post-1123689430338782202005-08-10T11:57:00.000-04:002005-08-10T11:57:00.000-04:00LOL--Yesterday, I saved the caterpie to my PC's ba...LOL--

Yesterday, I saved the caterpie to my PC's background (especially loved the colors); this morning, when I sat down to check messages & saw the image, I almost puked!

Weird.SquirrleyMojohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07506123885434308454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10279728.post-1123637943617534182005-08-09T21:39:00.000-04:002005-08-09T21:39:00.000-04:00FC, we had a season like that one year. Pretty amazing as long as you didn't think too much about what was falling on your head :)swamp4mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03500364141244115390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10279728.post-1123637365710769812005-08-09T21:29:00.000-04:002005-08-09T21:29:00.000-04:00I had a "frass" experience that I will never forge...I had a "frass" experience that I will never forget. I was in a hardwood forest just outside of Savannah, Ga walking and taking pictures when it began to rain. Just a light, but steady sprinkle. Only, it wasn't rain, it was frass from the canopy. It was everywhere and sounded just like rain as it struck the forest duff.
The caterpillars were too high in the canopy for me to see, but there must have been a blue million of them.R.Powershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04905593499136090763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10279728.post-1123636457581081822005-08-09T21:14:00.000-04:002005-08-09T21:14:00.000-04:00Bloggy, frass is sassy and fresh frass is the sass...Bloggy, frass is sassy and fresh frass is the sassiest.

Keith, I think frass would spruce up your notes. Much better than "stool" or "feces" don't you think :)

Rurality, baby racers are cute. They are also very aggressive little critters. Guess that figure the best defense is a good offense. Of course, it doesn't hurt if they bite you -- their teeth are too small.

SQMojo, as far as I know those caterpie are safe to touch.swamp4mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03500364141244115390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10279728.post-1123635418124154542005-08-09T20:56:00.000-04:002005-08-09T20:56:00.000-04:00Are those caterpie poison to touch? Are those caterpie poison to touch?SquirrleyMojohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07506123885434308454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10279728.post-1123590876499515192005-08-09T08:34:00.000-04:002005-08-09T08:34:00.000-04:00We saw Black Racers this weekend too.
