I am very happy to report that the beagle my husband found back in February has been reunited with his rightful owner. (We had been calling him Bailey and had pretty much figured we had acquired a second dog. ) Yesterday his owner came and got him after a friend had seen one of the flyers I had put up. Turns out the dog's name is Sam and he had gotten sidetracked by a deer trail while out rabbit hunting.
I'm glad he's back home but I find that I miss him -- don't tell anybody, though :)

:( If my Jack hooks up with this very tall, slender, Irish Setter, I'll UPS you a weird-looking offspring to fill the void.
What a happy ending.
That's how we've acquired all our animals. Our dog is shepard/coyote mix. Sheriff was going to shoot her. She was hanging out at the kid's school. She's home now. Had her for almost two years. Same for the two cats. I'm glad Sam is back with his owner. Pets are important.
Bloggy...are you pimping your Jack out?

You're right, pets are important. My son and I are failing miserably at keeping fur and tracked in dirt all over the house. That's where Jack comes in.
Sorry you had to give the dog back. It's so easy to get attached to them but at least it's nice the owner hadn't given up looking. He must have really missed his Sam..
I really like the nature pictures on your site.
