Cool! I haven't ever seen one of those. It even looks like it would be stinky, LOL.
It looks utterly painful. Can fungi feel pain? Perhaps not as we know/understand pain?
Are you happy to see me, or is that a fungus on the ground?
You have to love a stinkhorn. The lovely odor it exudes attracts flies. The flies dine a while on the spore mass and when they are done they fly off, carrying some spores with them. Pretty cool distribution strategy.
