I Spy, Do You?

What do you see when you look at this picture?

Look closely now.

I'll be back later to find out if you see what I saw... Posted by Picasa

Need more input? Perhaps if I show you the same spot from a different angle...

Still not sure of what you're seeing? Here's a close-up for you.

It's just a snake (Cottonmouth, Agkistrodon piscivorus), out enjoying the warm sunshine. He nearly got himself stepped on though -- good thing Treebeard has excellent reflexes!

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom, for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue, and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces, of people going by
I see friends shaking hands, sayin' "how do you do?"
They're really sayin' "I love you"

I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow
They'll learn much more, than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

Yes I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Oh yeah

Dang! I didn't even see those roses...

But I do agree, Bloggy. It is a wonderful world :)

Even great songs can be killed by being turned into a commercial. This one barely survived for me.

But I still don't see what you saw and I even tried to cheat by splitting the color levels of the photo! hehe I'll wait and see what the others find.

I won't make you wait long. Since my posts are so few and far between these days, my site traffic has slowed to a crawl so I don't anticipate too many responses -- but somehow I knew I could count on you! :)

Even with the added photos, I STILL don't see it. hehe Yep, I'm glad I'm an inside boy.

I thought I was looking for a snake but could not see it in the first photo. Only with the last close up did I finally see the snake. Good think I was not walking there! I can now see the snake in the 2nd photo but the first photo just does not work for me. Good thing it's "only a Cottonmouth." Ha!

Wow - how amazing. I'm so glad we don't have those dudes here. (Timber rattlers yes though not so potent as your friend there!)

So nice to see you back for a bit, Swampy!

I still can't see it in the first pic and had trouble in the second, but the third and forth pics did the trick.

I couldn't pick him out in the first photo, but the different angle helped out to the point where I knew it was a snake... Did he make ANY noise? How the heck did he keep from stepping on it? Amazing.

By the way.. HI!

I was only able to see a bit of him in the second picture, but not in the first picture at all.

How on earth did you spot him? The cotton mouth is supposed to be very poisonous isn't it?
He looks rather harmless in the third picture.

Oh gosh, I visit the Swamp for the first time in a few months (true confessions) and am faced with my nemesis---a snake. Yikes! Is this a portent of change? Should I embrace my fears, or run the other way?

Why, oh why, must you post the snake pictures? LOL
We had a HUGE chicken snake in the yard yesterday.
MY chickens (AKA kids) didn't much care for the visit.
