No Snow

Yay! No snow on the ground this morning. A little ice, but not a significant amount. I am thankful that we seem to have dodged this particular bullet.

Sweetgum ball, I think, definitely a tulip poplar seed, but what is the thing in the center?

Sara,
The thing in the center is a gnawed-on pawpaw seed. I usually find them whole, but something enjoyed this one for dinner.

Ah, that explains it. Don't think I've ever encountered a pawpaw seed here in NJ.

Hey - what happened to all the white stuff? It disappeared awfully fast! I'm sure we can arrange to get you some more, should you start to go through withdrawl.

We got 4-5 inches; more than we've had in a long time. Stores and schools closed for two days. Even WalMart closing at 5:00 pm. A couple of Snow Days. Still waiting to see if we start to move again tomorrow.
Enjoying it but ready for it to be over.

Ellen,
It lasted forever! There is still ice on our trails so no withdrawal here. You can keep all that white stuff up your way where you're equipped for it :)

JSK,
I love snow but we've had way too much this winter. I'm ready for a thaw!
