Twenty years ago...
...he was a chunky one year old with chubby cheeks and curls.
Yesterday he turned 21. Gone are the chubby cheeks, the curls, and the chunkiness. Now he is a lean, muscular man who, at 6' 3", makes me feel downright dainty :) He's grown into a fine man and we are very proud of him.
Happy Birthday, Flamebrain!! We love you.
(Oh, and to my older son - you can stop laughing now. Your birthday isn't too far off and I have
just the picture.)

Awe! I love it! Little nekkid toes, up-turned tongue AND I think I have that same exact shirt he has on...only it's a much larger size in my closet. *looks at own gut*
-Tell me though, is that something on your wrist, something hanging down...black box with a cord??
Happy Birthday Baby Baby Swampy!
(sorry, that's just how we do it in my house)
The mysterious black box is my camera. Had this weird stuff in it, I think it was called "film."
"Film." Delightful, I must learn more.
*repeats*
"Film."
Swampy,
What a beautiful picture! And I cannot believe you have a 21 year old child. *shaking head*
I love some redheads. I have two of my own.
Can't wait to see the other son's picture. heh
I love being a Mama.
Grins*
you're gorgeous! especially w/o fire googles!
but now you have exposed your super secret blogger identity--
among all else you are a redhead--stawberry blonde to be precise (?)--
;-)
why didn't i figure this out sooner??! it all makes perfect sense now . . .
It's true, SQMojo, I am a strawberry blonde -- the absolute "between" of hair colors! Half the people I know say I have red hair, the other half say blonde.
Since this picture is 20 years old (and I am wearing those fab 80s sunglasses), I figure my super secret blogger identity is still pretty safe :)
Kel, you won't believe how long groceries last once your kids are grown and out of the house! *g*
Ours turns 22 on July 10th. It is still quite mysterious, this maturing process....Just this morning I sent an email with budgeting advice. Parenting never ends, it justs changes......and when the grocery bills decline, there can be plenty of others to take its place..........
what a chubby little monkey. LOVE the fiery red hair. i can't wait to use old photos for embarassment. it seems like ALOT of fun!
