No, the camera didn't magically begin to work again, this is just a shot from my files. I got tired of not posting so I dug out something from last October. Sadly, I can't offer you the common or scientific name for this particular fungus. Guess I never bothered to key it out. Sorry.
We just returned from a trip to Charlotte. While it was nice to visit with family, I can say with all my heart that there is no place like home. City life isn't for me; too many people, too many cars, too much noise, too much light at night, simply too much everything. But then again, that Thai food sure was tasty... :-)

Nice shroom! (As we commoners might say.)
Dig away. I love seeing your pics and reading your posts--I'm telling you that I am tree-hugger at heart, caught in a twisted value system that keeps me shut-in.
You are my window, my lens, my view. A shroom with a view, you might say.

So glad to have you back, even if it requires some plucking from the files. :)
If your files are like mine, you probably can publish for a year or so without a new camera and still have extra shots that we would like to see. Keep them coming! Thanks!!!
Swampy, when my old camera pooped out I also dug into old images. Whatever it takes! I've missed your blogs the last few days - and really, images are not required.
I guess Mr Swampy won't part with his? Obviously a new camera is the only solution :-)
"a shroom with a view"
Thanks for the giggle, anon!
Liked that one!
Hey Mrs. williams! I got your blog from Cameron's, I love seeing all of your pics! I hope everything is going well with you! Everything is fine here in Raleigh, but I find myself missing Ridgecroft sometimes....you made it fun! Anyways, I just wanted to say hey! Keep in touch!

It's a fine shroom.
Thai fish stew is one of the 5 things I can cook. The other 4 involve variations on a pasta theme, or Things On Toast.
Even if it's an old photo, it's a good one.
I agree with your comments about the city...great food, though.
...goodbye city life!
Green swampage we are there!
Hee Hee! Looks like an ex-student found your blog!
Post away with those old pics. I sure do!
Yep, another one of my "kids" found my blog. Several of them read it from time to time - guess Meredith didn't get the memo that I wanted to remain anonymous :)
But it sure was good to hear from her...
Whoops...busted. Looks like that other "kid" of yours slipped up. But then again, gotta remember, it is a product of the 'croft. ;) Lol.
what are we gonna do with these kids... i guess we'll have to start using code names like "swill"... sorry, couldn't resist(i wish someone would've told me what that meant!)
But woverman, I did tell you :)
Hey Pushesrb!
I gave a program at the 'Croft on Thursday. It was supposed to have been held in the lab but got moved to the media center. Things went pretty well.
you could've told me the FIRST time :-P
Looks very much like Pluteus cervinus, the Deer Mushroom.
