Treebeard and I think we have this IDed, but we aren't sure so I'm not posting a scientific name. We'll just enjoy the fact that it is yet another manifestation of slime mold and leave it at that.
Here's some more of the same stuff. Looks kind of like fish roe...
Woodland caviar, anyone?

Interesting stuff! I don't think I've ever seen anything like this.
Me neither, but it's beautiful in a slime moldy kind of way.
That is amazing! Is it true hat slime molds can move?
What a great picture. Have you decided it's not Wolf's Milk Fungus? I've never seen it like this, though. Awesome.
Slime molds are pretty amazing. And yes, Lynne, they do move in a slow, "slime moldy" way ;)
It's definitely not Wolf's Milk - we're quite familiar with that fungus.
Treebeard has been assigned coming up with the final ID.
Tell treebeard hello for me. I am coming into town on Monday...going to be around?
Hey Pushesrb!
I have to work Monday, but I get off at 5 so maybe we can get together in the evening. Or, if you have some time during the day, maybe you could come by the work swamp. Give me a call and we'll set something up.
i adore slime molds! especially orange ones.
may i drop in after work too? sounds groovey.
SQMojo,
I'll have to dig around and find my photo of the lovely dog vomit slime mold - it's orange :)
And of course you're invited to the after work get together...
