Cathy, The pond is so pretty this time of year it's almost painful ;)
Rurality, On shore the mosquito nets would certainly be welcome! Surprisingly though, there are very few mosquitoes or other biting flies out on the pond proper.
cathy, Oy! See, Blogger hates me. Such is life I guess... ;-) Glad you liked the herons - they weren't the most cooperative of subjects and a canoe on a windy day is not the best platform from which to take zoom shots!
Have you looked for the buttons in your creating mode that designate whether or not you want comments? I've created a couple posts lately where the danged button had reset to 'no comments allowed' and I DIDN'T DO IT !!! ARgggggghhh.
cathy, I considered checking that, but it would mean having to click the edit button for that post. At the moment, that edit button is my nemesis - every time I try to edit a post Blogger takes a bite out of it.

No wonder you've been absent. With so much beauty I'd be turned out-of-doors too :0)
Mosquito nets? :)

That is lovely.
Regarding your previous post ... I can relate to both the dialup pain and the blogger unpredictability.
Don't go away.
Happy Mother's Day.
Swampy - Blogger ate your 'comment' tab, too! That heron pix is awesome. Until I 'clicked' on it I couldn't see the baby. Cool!

From a canoe!? Oh how lovely.

With a backyard like that, I'd ask for a boat.
