One summer, I was taking a Field Entomology course at UF and the prof wanted us to bring in dung beetles for class. I went home, took one of my infant son's soiled diapers, dropped it in a coffee can out in the yard and in no time dung beetles were dropping in. I still tease him about that...he's 13 now.
LOL. I'll have to remember to tell my husband about your technique. We usually just scout out the nearest dog poop for our dung beetles, but your method would make for a much more interesting tale during interpretive programs :)
