Not So Green Treefrog

Tricky little green treefrog - Hyla cinerea - The picture I posted a few entries back seems to have hopped off my page so here is one to replace it. Green treefrogs are probably my favorite frog. You find them in the most unexpected places and their colors can be quite remarkable.

Too cute. When I lived in Florida they used to jump on the doors and windows. Haven't seen any here in NJ :-(

lauraO,
They do have excellent entertainment value. Years ago we lived right next to the millpond. Green treefrogs would climb on our front windows at night, attracted by the insects drawn to the light. Our kids used to sit and watch the frogs hunt the insects - I guess you could call it swamp TV :)
