It started snowing last night and it hasn't stopped. We have over 7 inches right now and we're expecting several more inches before nightfall. I guess this is our Boxing Day present.
We put some birdseed out on the porch creating a new channel on kitty TV.

Looks like you are getting the worst of the snow. We have 4 + inches right now in Durham. The birds are going crazy at the feeders!
They are predicting as much as a foot for us today and into tonight. A flock of red-wings and grackles just discovered the feeders in the side yard.
We had an inch or so in Atlanta. Big flocks of birds at our feeders, too!
Patrice,
This is one big storm! My husband just checked our gauge and we are up to 10 inches now.
Lovely!! I wondered what happened to all our snow (grin)-- we're struggling along on zero moisture here in the foothills (though the ski areas are happy).
Have a cozy holiday...
It looks beautiful. That's about the only nice thing I can say about snow. Enjoy your winter wonderland. Hope it melts quickly.
So far this winter we, in our part of southern Ontario, have just barely had the ground covered. It seems to be happening all around us but not here.
Sally,
I wish we could send some moisture your way. I've got my fingers crossed that you will get that much needed rain soon!
Karen,
It is melting off the roads fairly quickly - thank goodness!!
OW,
Yes, it is odd for us to have so much snow and you so little. I always imagine most parts of Canada as snowy all winter.
