Conflict of Interest??

So what happens when you teach someone to use the camera and the computer? They hog both! (Not really.)

Mr. Swamp and I work for two separate, uh, places. This was never a problem before because he didn't know how to use the camera and he doesn't like computers. The result was that I had nearly exclusive use of both pieces of equipment. Alas, he has at least partially overcome his aversion to electronic devices and now I must share.

Oh well, at least he likes the same things I do! Here are a few of his pictures from a recent walk.

A male Ebony Jewelwing.

Nearly mature female katydid.

Young, pointy-nosed Brimley's Chorus Frog.

He'll have to have a theme song of course.

I see Mr. Swamp has a way with frogs too. :)

Your posts always remind me of the world beyond my walls--of my own experiences. I've been too busy to write in my field book or journal lately. I finally began to hear grasshoppers in the fields as many of the frog sounds faded last week, but I forgot to jot it down--something I would usually consider a significant change. Your pictures remind me to slow down and remember what I've seen as well. Thanks.

sharing can be loads of fun, so i'm glad senior swamp decided to give it a go--he seems to be a natural.

i have really missed reading your blog the past few days! i would much rather be there in the swamp than the mess i've seemed to have gotten myself into this past week, for sure!
