In Your Eye

Despite appearances to the contrary, I was neither drunk nor on drugs (at least not the kind you're thinking of) when I took this picture of my eye. I was sitting in my car waiting for my pupils to return to normal size after a visit to the eye doctor. Said eye doctor will be performing PRK surgery on one of my eyes in a couple of weeks...not this eye, the left one. He spent two hours on a pre-surgery evaluation. You will be happy to know that I have healthy eyes and he has great confidence in a positive outcome for me with this procedure. It is always good to have someone with great confidence manning the laser that is going to vaporize part of your cornea...don't you think? ;) Posted by Picasa

I dare you to say, "Set phasers on stun!" before you go under the knife. :)

I'll take that dare...I already told the doc that his office looked like a mad scientist movie set :)

Pushesrb, that is only too true! Sorry your day turned out as it did. Hope you have a terrific birthday on Thursday though -- wish I could be there to help celebrate it. We'll have to try to get together again soon - without eye drops and bricks through windows...

Agreed.

Hmmmm...there's a subplot here that I'm not quite getting...

FC, the subplot is a simple one. My eye doctor is in a town about an hour and forty-five minutes from my house. This same town is home to a university where several of my former students attend classes. The plan was for Pushesrb (a former student) to come and rescue me from my dilated pupil misery by driving us to a restaurant where I buy her lunch and we would catch up on whatever while I waited for my eyes to return to normal.

Sadly, when she went out to her car to come get me, she discovered that some asshole had thrown a brick through her car window and stolen various items from within. Thus her day was ruined and I didn't get to see her -- we were bummed.

Now see? Wasn't that simple? ;)

Ooooooooo--I love subplots!
And yes, your eye is beautiful dear--plus, this photo allowed me to look into your soul.

What did I find? I need for Sam's Choice "Indulgent Trail." Yes, I am thinking of you with this yummy treat.

Listen: "A decadent sweet and savory dream of white chocolatey drops, chocolate drops, peanut butter drops, golden raisins, cranberries, almonds, peanuts, and cashews." A trail lover's dream, I tell you! Grab a hand full & yum!

Don't tell me you are allergic to nuts--

It was what I saw in your soul . . . don't ask me . . .

SQMojo, 'Indulgent Trail' sounds quite tasty...and no nut allergies for me!

Had I posted the picture of my left eye, instead of my soul you would have seen the reflection of my camera and those oh-so-annoying 'fine' lines of aging that grace persons of my vintage... :)
