A yellow-bellied sap sucker worked on this loblolly pine, leaving behind little orbs of amber resin. It's too bad the resin turns white as it dries...
You may (or may not) notice that my postings will be few and far between for the next four months. I am currently attending a training program that keeps me in class about 9 hours a day, 5 days a week. The rest of my time is spent reading for the next day's class. Plus, we are tested each Monday so my weekends are spent studying. Now doesn't that sound fun? I know you are all jealous ;)

I wish I had the patience to take classes. :(
OH MY GOSH!! YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE MY SECURITY WORD!!!!!!!!
I'm thinking about going back to school, for no other reason than personal enrichment.
You love your job. Hopefully this training enhances that, yes?
Mr. B., in my case, patience has nothing to do with it. If I don't take -- and pass -- this particular class, I lose my job. How's that for incentive?
btw, what was your security word??
Oh yes, Jenn, I do love my job so I am pouring my energies into this class. My job is multi-faceted and I enjoy some facets more than others. Unfortunately, this class deals with the particular facet that I do not care for at all, but is required. Such is life, eh?
Oh No !!! Sadly that probably means we will see less of beautiful Carolina blooming in the spring. Bummer. But best of luck on your class.
WM, I will do my best to post at least weekly. Since Treebeard will still be out and about I'm sure I can borrow some of his photos to post.
I hope that you enjoy this learning experience.
That is some incentive.
I can't exactly say my security word here, I'm sure you'll be glad I didn't. hehe
dont you just LOVE school :-)
we seriously need to have a reunion once you are finished!
and oh yeah... dont forget my patented sleeping system in case you get tired... put a bookbag on and use it as a pillow ;-)... you KNOW that I'M good at it :-P
Sounds like somebody got sent to the law enforcement academy.
the first line of this post almost sounded like poetry . . .
hope your reading isn't too dry & that you can find something worth while in your studies.
Oh no, four months of life without a daily dose of SwampThings will be difficult to endure! I'll be pacing the floor til you get back. :)
Hope you will get some time to get out and enjoy your swamp, at least!
Such is life.
*Strength* for your studies.
We'll be rootin'for you!
"yellow-bellied sap sucker" ... "this loblolly pine" ... I love these comedy names!
