What, Another One?!

Posted by Picasa
Yes, I know. I really do need to find a Green Treefrogs Anonymous group to help me deal with my addiction.
Hope everyone is feeling fine as frog hair today -- and if you're not, do like this little frog, hunker down and hang on.

He looks like he's praying at bedtime, lol.

We have those all over too, since we live in/near a swampy place. They like to sing in the drain pipes.

This frog thing is looking more and more like OCD...

Which is good because that's a cute shot! These are such beautiful frogs.

He looks smug to me.

I think those pretty little frogs show themselves to you (most folks can't see them) because they sense you are their patron saint.

Sign me up for the group. The only thing that helps me is that they don't live in Ohio.

sweet bay,
Probably praying that the crazy lady with the camera won't knock him from his perch!

jason,
You could be right, OCD is a distinct possibility. I could paper a room with just photos of green treefrogs and still have shots left!

FC,
Of course he is smug, he is A Green Treefrog, secure in his awesomenicity.

Woodswalker,
They are the supreme masters of hiding in plain sight. Treebeard and I always engage in a little competition of first to find when we are out.

Tom,
We'll meet on Tuesdays at 8:00 ;)

Fine as Frog Hair.
Well, I like that one.

I need to get a vivarium with on of the pet frogs - white's tree frog. Then maybe the orchid I bought two years ago that is just hanging in there will have a habitat it will enjoy.

I SO miss the treefrogs of Michigan, and here in AZ, the toad I am most likely to see - Bufo alvarius [http://fireflyforest.net/firefly/2007/08/12/sonoran-desert-toad/] - I don't want in my yard with the dogs.

Sigh.

Jenn,
Life without treefrogs would be tough. I can't imagine living in the desert -- although it is beautiful in its own right.
I followed the link you provided and checked out the toad. Pretty cool creature, but I can see how you wouldn't want one in your yard!
