We inadvertently startled this Canada Goose just as she was laying an egg. You can see it just under her back end. She flew off and I snapped a quick picture of the nest.
Excellent picture. Will she come back since she's been startled? And is that the usual number of eggs for a goose to lay? On another note, where's the golden one? Grins*
Oh yes, she will come back! Geese around here typically lay from 4 to 7 eggs, although I have seen as many as 9 eggs in a nest. As for that golden egg...I'm still looking.
