Altercations

Nope, she's not a happy cat. Not happy at all. She is peeved...

...with him. Note the little tuft of black kitty fur caught in his claw. But before you take her side there is something you should know, she split his ear for him a couple of days ago.

Yep, it's sooo peaceful around here with two cats just learning to get along. The icing on the cake...I think Wiki is going into heat. But poor Bullet, being neutered, can't figure out what's going on. He knows something interesting is happening, he just can't figure out how to participate.

Meanwhile us human types are just toughing it out until I can get an appointment to have Wiki spayed. Although I have noticed Wiki eyeing Treebeard with interest...the little tramp ;) Posted by Picasa

You are so good - so patient. It's been years since I've lived with cats (allergy - big time) I do remember their dustups and the time one climbed up my father's arm - claws embedded) when dad made the mistake of grabbing it from behind when it was yowling at another cat. Never tried that again.

There's too many pointy sharp pieces on felines. I once made the mistake of dangling a finger mullet from my hand at about chest height. My brother's cat was watching intently. I was in dog mode and it never occurred to me that the cat would unsheath his claws and climb me like a loblolly pine. I was wearing shorts at the time.

Take the side of a cat? ....

Cathy,
Things are calming down a bit between the two cats. They were actually playing together today - claws sheathed, thank goodness. I'm sure things will get even better after I get Wiki spayed on the 31st.

FC,
But that's what I love about cats -- they are unpredictable. And besides, you were teasing the cat...no wonder it climbed you "like a loblolly pine." ;)

Thanks, Mel. They are pretty and things have calmed down a bit between them. Wiki is definitely in heat, meowing like crazy day and night so things are not any more quiet -- but are more peaceful.
