Treebeard was trying to catch a nap when Wiki decided she needed to have her belly rubbed. Both seemed content. (Treebeard was not exactly a cat person when we met, but he has come around over the years. Guess he had to - around here it's "love me, love my cats.")

what a clever name for a cat!
SQMojo,
:) Wiki says thank you. Her full name, however, for those times when she is in hot water, is Sticky Wicket.
Now that's contentment.
(I'm just popping in on a few old blogging friends to say Happy New Year.)
Now that's a great picture! You'll have to tell Treebeard hello for me. :)
Truly, the picture of contentment. . . Looking forward to more of your blog. I live in the urbs, and am making do with what's in the poplar tree outside my apt. Luckily, it has a surprisingly diverse population -- raccoons, squirrels, wrens, several types of woodpeckers,... It's enough for now. And enough for my Aged Cat
Treebeard, like the Ent on Lord of the Rings? Great name!
Hi AC,
Happy New Year right back at you!
pushesrb,
Glad you like the picture. I'll pass your hello onto Treebeard...
stateofthecat,
Welcome! I'm glad you enjoy the blog. Drop in anytime. How great that you have your poplar tree - the diversity of life on a single tree never ceases to amaze me.
stacie,
Yep, LOR inspired my husband's blog-name. I love Ents and it just seemed appropriate.
Oh, my son and I LOVE the Ents. I am a tree lover to begin with!
