Each year I like to check this patch of milkweed...
The flowers smell sweet and it's a great place to find monarch caterpillars...
But to discover the real reason I like it so much, all you have to do is walk in among the stems and train your eye to detect subtle variations in the greens you see...
I showed great restraint yet again and photographed only five of the many green treefrogs we saw.

Frogs? No way! I'd never have guessed it.
Very awesome collage of frogs! I'm loving it. As I was riding down the highway the other day, I watched in awe as we passed by all the new growth on the trees of the forests edge and marveled at all the different colors of green. Green happens to be my favorite color.
jason,
It's the darndest thing, no matter where I go those frogs just show up!
kaholly,
Green happens to be my favorite color, too. Good thing, I guess, considering how very green it gets around here in the summer.
You can never post too many treefrog pics! Thats why I come to your blog - love the reptiles and amphibians. Keep it up!

GFunny,
Good to hear! I have some other frogs to post later as well as a couple of snakes we saw on our walk.
