The chrysalis, revisited. Perhaps you recall that it was on August 28th that the caterpillar began its final molt. Looks like it won't be long before a black swallowtail emerges from the now darkened chrysalis.
Several items in my collection of music comes from Chrysalis Records. In fact, this Ten Years After CD just inches away shares that label name. Though I don't think they do a tune called Swallowtail.
FC, I'm considering gathering the chrysalis up tomorrow morning and bringing it to the house -- just in case Ophelia decides to dump a bunch of rain on us. Guess I'm sort of attached to this particular butterfly :)
did you bring them in? I would too.. I was collecting jars for my spiders had that nasty thing decide to come our way. Slick was like, 'thats to small!' I was like, jezz... it will be ok for a couple of days.

This guy's going to hatch out into a hurricane. You should name it Ophelia Butterfly!
