Neat. Back home, I had a milkweed plant appear in my garden this summer. I left it to see what would happen; it didn't bloom but grew quite all.

I had to come back [I saved this pic as my background] and just say that I'd buy a print of this and hang it in my living room . . .also, when those who circle in my circles ask me who my current fav photographer is I will say "this gem of a blogger who calls herself 'swampy'"--me, if you didn't know.
There's something magical about milkweed seeds. I love it when a few seeds get caught in the rough edge of a dried pod pver a snow field. They pick up that pastel light we get in the winter--that soft, muted rose in their fine white hairs.
