Feeling Froggy

Posted by Picasa

I've walked past this cypress knee a thousand times but today I saw it with new eyes. Today it became a big ole frog peeping out of a pile of beech leaves.

Obviously I need a frog fix ;)

Swampy-Soon those peepers and creepers will be abounding in your swamp! Patience! Meanwhile, here at the Refuge we might not see many frogs as the drought is severe! FWS is now experimenting with feeding the cranes as they are really suffering from lack of food sources!

Greetings all...spring may be right around the corner, but it was hard to feel froggy today. Temps never climbed out of the low to mid thirties and the sky was gray and heavy.

Our drought finally broke so I am looking forward to hearing some frog choruses this spring. And, with what does one supplement a crane's diet?

Cindy Lee,
It is sorta jabba-esque ;) Popped by your blog to see how the house is coming. It looks great! Doesn't it drive you crazy when it seems like the builders don't do anything for days on end though?
