Neat picture though, lots of green! What's the difference between a species that has been introduced and one that is invasive?

Invasive is just a term used to describe a plant that tends to take over an area. Some native plants can become invasive under the right circumstances.
Introduced plants are not always invasive.

Hubby hates hates hates mimosas. I know I'm not supposed to like them, but they smell good! Plus I have fond memories of a good climbing mimosa tree in the backyard when I was a kid.
