When they mature and break off naturally, they fly -- whirlygig style. A gray squirrel cut the branch these were on though, so they'll never get the chance to whirl in the wind.
That's where me and the boy come in. We give them lift and then they do flight bidness by themselves. (Well with airflow and aerodynamics and whatever of course.)

Me and the boy LOVE those! (only we don't have the red ones)(and well ours are shaped a little differently)(and I'm assuming those "fly")
