My, my, my.....What are the chances of the gator family moving down Bennett's Creek and into the Chowan? Heard of any river sightings?

You could very well have a gator wander by over your way. Generally speaking, the southern shore of the Albemarle Sound marks the traditional boundary of their current range. Keep your eyes open the next time you boat over to Edenton.

I would think that the wandering of a gator down bennetts to the chowan would take quite a while. Manly due to the small population and the high distrubance factor the closer you get to the chowan.

Swampy, you mistook my meaning. I think it would be more likely that a gator would wander over toward Betty from the southern shore of the sound, not make the trip down Bennetts to the Chowan. Why would any self-respecting gator leave a place such this? After all, we offer an all-you-can eat, no-gas-motors allowed environment.
