Inside, Looking Out

Wolf spider peeking out of its burrow. Posted by Hello

My favorite place to be is outside. Unfortunately, I cannot do all of my work outdoors. Today I am inside putting the finishing touches on a display for an interpretive program I will be giving tomorrow. Sadly, it's only half past ten and I am already a little stir-crazy, stuck inside but looking out.

Ewwwwww! Bugs! The ladybug and dragonflys are ok, but spiders...that's a different story.

Ah, but spiders are some of my favorite creatures. They are fascinating animals.

I'm looking out
where's my make-up

On the inside.....out

Looks like spidey wanted to be secluded though. Is he as big and mean as he looks in the photo?

This spider is definitely big. I thought it was a shrew when I caught sight of it out of the corner of my eye as it scurried into its burrow. But mean? Nah. Although I am sure it would attempt to protect itself if threatened.

So you and the wolf spider had something in common, yes? Both inside looking out?
I like the wolf spider. Very pretty. Fuzzy. Nice markings. For some unknown reason, he looks nicer than regular spiders. I really do think it's the fuzz. *laughing*
However, I probably won't be inviting him to tea.

Swampy, I've been wondering, did I miss a report on that job you were seeking a while back? What happened? I'm a bit on pins and needles myself this week--just wondering/(hoping) your's came through??

you know the ways of the swamp, people should fear you and your wolf spider friends . . .

SM,
Nope you haven't missed any news on the job front. I had my interview on April 1st and am now playing the waiting game. It may be well into May before I find out anything.
If I don't get the job perhaps I will gather my wolf spider friends and pay a little visit to the powers that be... :)
