Sunrise

Yesterday morning I stopped by the pond on my way to work. It was frozen with a super-light dusting of snow.

Man, I love this place more than you can ever imagine.

Geez, you guys still have snow! Ours has pretty much left here in the foothills. Looks like a great place to be when it thaws. : )

Kenneth,
Looks can be deceiving! We got only the lightest of dustings. The pond had a film of ice over it so the snow looked more plentiful that it actually was. We didn't even get enough to cover the ground :(

We missed that snow. Our pond has been frozen enough to walk on it. But I think it is not anymore with higher temps coming tomorrow.

randy,
I saw your curling photos -- what a hoot! The pond isn't iced enough to walk on, just enough to keep one from being able to canoe :(

I spend most of my time on the ocean, but I was thinking this morning that if I had to move from the sea, as long as I was near a wetland, I'd be okay. A bog, a marsh, even a swamp :)!
